Rücker AG expands in England
Cooperation with Ford extended – Commercial vehicle development tasks - Rücker branch in Cologne profits from new commitment in England

The publicly quoted engineering group Rücker AG, which is mainly involved in providing technological development goods and services to well-known international automobile and aviation manufacturers, will expand its international activities in the UK. The group will in future provide virtual commercial vehicle and engine development goods and services to the Ford development and skills centre in Dunton near London under the auspices of Rücker's Cologne branch. The group will enlarge its UK branch in Cambridge for the purpose and recruit 50 British engineers for the branch in the next couple of years.
Rücker AG has worked for Ford Germany for a quarter of a century. The group has for some time had its own branch in Cologne, where Ford Germany is based, to handle the increasing volume of commissions for that company. The expansion of the relationship with Ford now agreed means Rücker engineers can optimally coordinate and link the rendering of their goods and services to Ford's two European development and skills centres.
Wolfgang Rücker, chairman of Rücker AG based in Wiesbaden, commented on the expansion of his group's business in the UK by saying that, "Ford is one of our biggest clients. This new relationship is hence extremely important to us. It gives the good business relations we've had with Ford for years on a wider basis. One result is that we'll create new jobs in the UK".

Founded in 1970 by the current chairman Wolfgang Rücker, the group based in Wiesbaden went public in 2000 and is a global leader in supplying engineering development goods and services to the world's aviation and automobile industries. In the automobile field we render virtual development goods and services in the bodywork, interior equipment and electrical fields to all the well-known makers. In aviation our goods and services range from styling interiors via developing concepts, models and prototypes to calculating and designing wings and fuselages.
Rücker AG employs about 2,500 people - nearly all engineers-at 35 locations in 18 countries. In the 2009 financial year the group turned over 131.3 million Euros. Group earnings before tax (EBIT) in 2009 were 3.7 million Euros.
