Project / Systems Engineers – Automotive Industry (m/f)
Responsibilities:
• Engineering and project management for new vehicle products for Europe, America, Asia, Australia
• Lead system concept and design development according deliverables (performance, cost, weight, quality, timing) and ensure in time release of systems
• Execute product benchmarking, drive resolution process of product adaptation to foreign markets
• Lead material and supplier selection and sourcing together with all functional areas involved
• Coordinate system development, guide suppliers through the engineering process, and control supplier's status on target
• Lead, execute analysis of system and / or component requirements and specifications and ensure proper cascading within the x-functional team
• Support system level trade offs, prototype build, launch in different Manufacturing locations
Qualifications:
• Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) or technician with relevant industry experience
• Experience in supporting R & D projects from program start to production within automotive industry (OEM, supplier)
• Basic to advanced knowledge in systems design and engineering in the area of BIW, Chassis, Closures, Electrical / Electronics, Interior, Powertrain, Vehicle Attributes or Systems Integration
• Knowledge of Automotive Design applications and processes and / or releasing tools
• Understanding of CAD / CAE or quality tools desired
• Creativity, innovative approach, flexibility, driven for results
• Good communication skills, relevant soft skills to work in a multicultural environment
• Fluent English language skills, fair German language knowledge would be an advantage
• Willing and able to relocate to Germany for the period of the project
